The indoor pool was freezing, and the breakfast wasn’t included. It cost more than breakfast at most three-star competitors. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and we left with a very negative impression. At check-in, the receptionist had one of the worst attitudes I’ve encountered in hospitality. The first room had pigeon poop all over the balcony. I was worried about my pregnant wife being around the droppings, so I complained and got another room, but it was no different. The stay was a waste of time and money. Unless you want a sub-three-star experience, a cold pool, and the risk of histoplasmosis, stay away.

The room was small but clean and okay. A few minutes after 3, when the staff shift seemed to change, a couple of well-dressed women were helpful. We had to ask them about everything, though. Check-in itself felt unfriendly. We arrived about ten minutes before 3, and the woman at reception asked for my ID and credit card, handed over a key, and pointed out the elevator. She didn’t greet us, smile, or mention breakfast, the lounge, pool, or Wi-Fi, and was dressed very casually. We stayed at four hotels on this trip to review the area, and this first impression left an annoying taste in my mouth.

I’d stayed here years ago when it had a different brand, and I was glad to find it still in good shape. I wasn’t feeling well when I arrived, so it was a relief that everything went smoothly, from check-in to room service and breakfast.

We accidentally left some belongings in the room, and the staff went out of their way to find them and make sure they got safely back to us. That really made the stay memorable. The room was clean and comfortable, the service was excellent, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. I had an amazing experience and highly recommend this hotel for its great service.
