The breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of good options for different tastes and dietary preferences, and consistently nice quality. It felt like a proper start to the day, not an afterthought. I also found the room clean, comfortable, restful, and thoughtfully equipped, with a layout that was easy to move around in. The front desk team and everyone else I met were friendly, professional, and helpful. Their care made me feel welcome. I stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Calgary for a family gathering, and everything from arrival to checkout exceeded my expectations. For the price, the quality across the stay was excellent. I'd recommend it for a downtown Calgary visit, whether for leisure or business. Great service and a fair price.

The rooms seem to have been renovated recently. The details aren't luxurious, but this is a clean, well run hotel at a reasonable price. We especially like the location and the in suite jacuzzi tubs. There were some challenges at the end of our first stay, but management was respectful and helpful about them. I came away feeling good as a customer.

The location was handy and close to everything we needed. Our room was spotless, cozy, and well maintained, and the staff made us feel welcome from arrival through checkout. It was a relaxing stay with excellent service. Highly recommended for work or a leisure trip.

For a short trip, it did the job. The room had a free upgrade, and as members we also got late checkout at no cost. The front desk woman was always smiling, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel, and the renovated rooms were nice, though the building itself seems a bit old and the elevator was slow. There were a few long hairs left on the bathroom floor near the shower, which was a bit gross. I have long hair myself, so I understand, and I'm glad they were on the floor and nowhere else.
