We had a fabulous stay at Holiday Inn Calgary. The staff were wonderful, polite, and professional, and our room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and well kept. Breakfast had a light selection rather than a full buffet, but we enjoyed it. There were hot choices as well as continental items. The shower was great and immersive, with pressure that stayed strong even when the hot water was on. Underground parking was a big plus in bad weather. The Banff Station LRT stop is across the street. If you're doing a lot of travel, I'd recommend a day pass. A single fare is $3.80. For a family trip to the zoo in peak season, the LRT station is in the Zoo concourse; otherwise, pay for zoo parking. To go downtown, the LRT is easier, and there are quite a few restaurants there for a good meal. For takeout deliveries, you'll need to meet the driver downstairs because elevator access is by card, especially in the evening and early morning. Great security!

The train is right outside, which makes getting around easy. Rooms were clean and roomy, and the free breakfast was great. This will be our Calgary spot from now on.

We’ll definitely return. As IHG members, we found out at check-in that our room had been upgraded, and the receptionist made us feel welcome while handling everything efficiently. The room was quiet, spacious, and clean, with a luxurious bed and pillows in different firmness levels. There’s outdoor or underground parking, and plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby.

I’ve been back several times for the convenient location, clean hotel and rooms, and good breakfast. My one suggestion is to update the TVs to smart TVs, which feels like a feature people would want in 2025.

In late October 2025, I came home from Australia because my brother was having a medical emergency. I needed somewhere nearby to stay for the night, and Amandeep (Aman) was an absolute angel. I was distracted and barely coherent, but she was compassionate and professional. She helped me feel safe and get some rest so I could be there for my family. I’m grateful for how flexible and generous she was. Management was wise to hire her, and lucky to have her. Thank you, Aman!
