The building itself is fine. It's the condo board and management company that are the problem. They hand out a lot of fines, and I know plenty of other residents who've had enough of them. They abuse their power and break their own bylaws. I've lived in many buildings downtown and never had problems like this before. I can't wait to move out.

A terrible experience. I was misled about the building fines, especially the ones for the parkade. They charge $175 or more per violation, which is insane. A $30-$40 fine plus late fees would make sense, but $175 feels like a cash grab, and the amounts keep going up arbitrarily. The fines aren't posted in the building or online. You have to pay the building $15 for the list, then wait for it to be sent to you. When it arrives, you'll find vague descriptions. These fines seem unique to this building; I haven't seen them in other parkades nearby. The speed bumps are terrible too, so the whole parkade is awful. I doubt landlords are honest about it, because who would want to live there? I don't believe these fines would hold up in court. Any judge would see them as blatantly abusive and criminal. But who is going to take them to court over a couple hundred dollars? So the abuse carries on. It's embarrassing to work for that company. If I ever come across it again, I'll avoid it at all costs.

I’d stay away from Harrison and Wen Company. The Rentfaster.ca listing seemed to describe a particular unit, but at the viewing the representative showed it to two other groups and me instead. I let that waste of time go without complaining. A month later, when I asked by email what was available, they questioned whether I was serious because I hadn’t rented from them after that first visit. It seems they take it personally when someone doesn’t accept an offer right away. That’s no way to run a business, and their customer service was poor.

The condo rules feel unreasonable. Wait for the garage door to close completely, or you can be fined $176.25.

You could manage a lot of daily life without leaving the complex, with a supermarket, liquor store, bar, gym, hot tub, and games room all in the building. The monthly rent is quite reasonable considering what’s there. Security is very tight, though, so if guests are coming over, figure out how to get them through the building without having to go downstairs and escort them up.
