SAIT Residence & Conference Centre - Calgary

The room was disappointing for the price. The kitchen had no dishes or small appliances, so it was basically just a fridge. One light was out when we arrived, but they fixed it. The shower wouldn't drain, so we had to bail the water out. It was fixed after we finally told the desk, though they should have caught it if the room had been checked beforehand. A blind was stuck halfway, leaving no way to block the light, and when I pulled its cord the valance fell on me. The location is convenient for the train, and breakfast was adequate. I've stayed in university dorms in many places.

They're dorm rooms, for sure, but quiet and very clean. The bed was really comfortable, and there were plenty of good quality towels. Breakfast was fine for the price, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for what it costs.

We were a large group at RCC for business activities, and the team there took the initiative to put us all on one floor. That made it easier to streamline our work and it went well. The location was handy for picking up supplies off-campus, and the minor maintenance issues in our rooms didn't affect the stay. The frustration was parking enforcement. We followed the directions SAIT gave us and still got five tickets during our stay, which felt completely unrealistic. SAIT staff have been supportive as we've dealt with them, and we haven't had to pay, but it was an unnecessary hassle. That's why I gave service four stars.

I knew I was booking a university dorm room, so I wasn't expecting the usual hotel amenities. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great. I checked in Sunday afternoon and wish they'd given me some information about where to get food on campus over the weekend.
