Tarjan Place is modern, well maintained, and in a very convenient part of Calgary. The facilities are clean, and the building feels safe and welcoming. Management is professional and responsive, so questions or concerns are easy to resolve. It’s a comfortable, reliable place to live or work, especially if you work downtown or want to enjoy the city’s nightlife. Couples may like it too, with the Bow River only a 2-minute walk away. I’d highly recommend it.

This building is very old, and the parking garage has a low, bow-shaped ceiling that has needed repairs several times. Water is shut off frequently, about once a month, and one elevator is almost always broken while the other two take ages. Management adds move-in and move-out fees and enforces bylaws in a way that feels excessive and unfair. Maintenance and cleaning seem neglected despite the high rent. The windows are rarely cleaned, the parking area is often dirty, and the gym has had multiple leaks. Its equipment is outdated, and repairs seem to be ignored. There’s no real security, and the neighborhood feels unpleasant, with speeding, noise, and disruptive behavior, especially on weekends. The price doesn’t match the upkeep or safety, and I wouldn’t recommend living here.

This was my first home in Calgary, and I would never have moved if I hadn’t needed to be closer to my kid’s school. The staff are warm, and Heather is especially nice. The building has a medicine store, walk-in clinic, massage parlour, pizza store, and good Japanese and Korean restaurants. It’s close to the river and, best of all, the CTrain station. I feel it’s the best place to stay downtown.

My wife and I have lived here for two years and have enjoyed it overall. The building blocks out noise from neighbours, and there’s parking inside as well as outdoor spaces for guests. The people are great, including security, the concierge, and the cleaning crew. I never had issues with deliveries, security, or cleanliness. It’s in a good area, within walking distance of coffee shops, groceries, C-Train, bus stops, and parks. The main inconvenience is building maintenance. Water interruptions and elevator work happen almost every other month. Apart from that, it’s a great place, and I’d recommend it to downtown workers or small families.
