Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre

The included breakfast spread was delightful, and the rooms were fantastic. We held work meetings at the Cambridge Hotel and had a wonderful experience. Everything ran smoothly, with the tech ready and meals arriving on time. They prepared separate meals for people with allergies, too. The location was easy to get to, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The staff were terrific, especially Sheridan, who made sure every detail was in order.

The art in the rooms by Evelyne from the rooms division is beautiful. She’s truly gifted. The rooms were spacious, clean and stunning, and the whole stay went smoothly. Even before arriving, I got friendly, efficient and professional help when I called with questions about my work trip. That same service carried through check-in and the rest of the visit.

The front desk service was a real letdown. I knew several other guests staying there, and while experiences varied, most said they were disappointed with the service. I think the staff could use retraining on how to treat customers. The cleaning staff, though, were very pleasant and accommodating. The location right off the highway is convenient, and the rooms were okay, nothing special but not awful. Near the elevators, you can hear everything in the hallway. The second-floor hall smelled really bad, though I don’t know what caused it. There were also two power outages in one morning.

We used a meeting room for the wedding reception, and both the space and food service were very good. The hotel staff involved in the event setup seemed attentive and on top of things. We were there for two weekend nights for a local wedding and ate at the restaurant several times. The breakfast buffet was genuinely good. Dinner one night cost a lot, but the food quality was very good, and the servers worked hard and stayed attentive during busy service.
