Residence & Conference Centre - Kitchener Waterloo

It works fine, even if it isn’t much to look at. The shower curtain doesn’t properly cover the stall, so water gets out at both ends. Just mop it up so nobody slips. Otherwise, the accommodations are adequate.

We bring our provincial volleyball programs to the Residence and Conference centre at Conestoga college every summer, and the rooms have what our athletes and coaches need. The staff are lovely to work with and go out of their way to make the visit a good one. We’re always happy with the service and would definitely recommend them for group stays.

The fridge and microwave were clean and nice, and the room had other useful amenities. Still, the suites feel old, and the stale smell in both the room and bathroom needs attention. The vents were noisy, and the hard mattress kept waking me up. It’s budget-friendly, but not a comfortable or luxurious stay.

I had one good night, but the other two were awful. Kids ran loudly up and down the hall and staff did nothing, so I eventually left for somewhere else. When I gave the property another chance, my TV didn’t work for hours. I was told someone would look at it in the morning, and it wasn’t a smart TV, which is what I needed. The staff were rude, and manager Holly offered no compensation. I had to contact booking.com myself to get anything back. The hotel was filthy, the bathtub was chipped, and the rooms smelled musty. The front desk team seemed inexperienced, and I blame poor leadership from the manager. This falls far below what I expect from a hotel, and there are much nicer places nearby.
