The Laundry Rooms Gaslight Cambridge

Having laundry right in the suite was especially useful for a longer stay, and everything felt easy to use. The place was spotless, quiet, modern, and laid out with care. The bed was really comfortable, the amenities were excellent, and the room felt more like a stylish home than a hotel. From arrival onward, it was welcoming and exceeded my expectations. It’s fantastic value for the quality, and I’d gladly return or recommend The Laundry Rooms to anyone wanting a comfortable, well-run modern stay.

The online check-in takes some effort, with apps to download and forms to complete, so be ready for that. We had a bit of extra work, though there’s a helpful number you can text for answers. The location in the Gaslight District is great, with restaurants nearby, coffee shops a short walk away, and a scenic river area to stroll along. We loved the roomy, well-appointed spaces, comfortable bed, and great linens. There’s a TV in both the living area and bedroom. All in all, we loved The Laundry Room!

The suite is roomy and bright, with more space than we needed for one night, though the price was high. The Foundry is just a block away and recommended, and Cambridge Mill is a short drive for an excellent brunch. Be sure to handle check-in early, since it’s all online and by text rather than through a hotel desk. You also need to arrange underground parking before you arrive as part of that process. Amanda helped us a lot, and her professional kindness was a relief.

Once you get used to the place and its technology, it’s beautiful and worth every penny. You get a full-sized apartment for the same price as a hotel room, sometimes less, plus spectacular views and loads of nearby restaurants and activities. There’s no in-person check-in, everything goes through email or an app, so if your phone is lost or dead you can’t get into the building or room. The parking garage is confusing too, and better signs would help. We walked around the whole lot and hotel trying to figure out where to go. There’s no gym either.
