Stardust Motel

We had a kitchenette room with a full-size fridge and stove, dish soap, coffee and a coffee maker. It was perfectly clean and tidy, and the shower temperature was just right. There was a double bed, I think, and a nice couch big enough to use as another bed. The ceiling fan was a nice touch. I only wished there'd been a blanket for the couch. The motel is a short walk from fast food and nicer restaurants, and not far from a couple of museums and a lovely park with a fountain, trails, and picnic areas. The entrance and parking are off a service road on the main drag. Prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly, and it's a great choice if you need somewhere to stay.

For a budget motel, it was well worth the economical price and easy to get to. Restaurants and other places are nearby, and check-in was easy. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were some newer tiles. I liked the roomy fridge with its freezer section and the sink and counter area with drawers. The blanket was a bit light, though the heat worked well enough to keep me comfortable. The water pressure was good but the temperature fluctuated a little. It wasn't too noisy, even with the thinner walls.

The guy who runs the place is super friendly and polite, and there's a cooler with drinks and things in the lobby. It's close to just about everything, a short walk to mirror lake and near several restaurants, so I'd recommend it for the nearby amenities. Still, the rooms are a little small for the price, the towels and shower curtain aren't good, and there's no ice machine. It's listed at 53$, but taxes make it cost more. Another woman who wanted to book a room wasn't happy with the price either, and the drinks in the lobby are too expensive too.

We booked three nights for Big Valley Jamboree, and the room was definitely dated, small, and frustrating to use. The bathroom was so cramped I had to back onto the toilet, and the shower was small. There was no WIFI or kleenex in the room. The worst part was being charged $129.00 a night when the regular price is $73.00. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid at all costs.
