The Malcolm Hotel

The views from the pool are some of the best in the world, and the games amenities are simple but I’m a big fan. Getting downtown by the pathways or boardwalk is an easy walk, with Spring creek being built out. This is our stay of choice every time we’re here, and I recommend it to friends and family who want to be near Banff National Park. It’s our favourite place to stay in and around Canmore and Banff. The spacious rooms have views that look like AI, and the welcoming staff really understand attention to detail. It’s a fantastic experience from top to bottom, just what you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre.

The Malcolm Hotel was a fantastic stay, and I highly recommend it. The location is handy for exploring downtown Canmore and nearby Banff. The Pulse coffee shop also stood out, with delicious coffee and pastries. From the moment we arrived, the staff gave us exceptional service. Our spacious room was beautifully decorated and had all the modern amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the stunning mountain view and the peaceful atmosphere throughout the hotel.

We were glad we chose this hotel for our October stay. It has the ingredients for a memorable visit, especially the breathtaking mountain scenery. The hotel lets you take it all in, and feels modern, spacious, relaxing, and welcoming. Our balcony looked over the mountains, outdoor pool, and hot tub area. The room was quiet and cozy, had all the amenities we needed, and came with robes. Shops are on site, with Canmore’s shopping area and the town center a short walk away. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff professional and efficient. The hotel is named for Malcolm III of Alba (1031-1093), known as ‘Canmore’ (great chief), who ruled Scotland from 1058-1093. His portrait looks out over Hotel Malcolm’s grand lobby. A splendid stay in a beautiful setting.

My partner, my dog, and I had an amazing stay here at the beginning of January. The location was great for walking to shops and lovely pathways, and we really enjoyed our time. The rooms are big, the beds comfortable, and the shower was amazing. Room service was wonderful and the food tasted so good. We also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. They provided a dog bed, poop bags, and water and food bowls for my dog. We highly recommend this as a comfortable place to rest between adventures in Canmore.
