Kindred Spirits Country Inn

We arrived at 1 a.m. and had completely forgotten about the picnic basket we'd ordered, so thank goodness for Kindred Spirit's late check-in. The next day they reminded us about it, and there was enough food for 3-4 people. Loved the place, and I even made friends with a crow. It was awesome!

Even with the place at 96% occupancy, Kindred Spirits Inn and Cottages stayed peaceful and quiet. It felt safe and was always clean. The staff are extraordinarily kind and helpful, and they really care about their guests. On the last night of each stay, they even deliver homemade cookies to everyone. It's right next door to Green Gables, which makes it especially lovely for anyone who likes Anne of Green Gables. There's plenty of scope for the imagination here. I hope I get to return someday.

We stayed in an inn room and it felt cozy and homey, almost like visiting a close friend while still having our own space. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious, the best we had during our 16-day trip. The pool and hot tub were lovely, too. There were DVD players in the rooms and a fun movie collection you could borrow from the lobby. I also liked the matching blankets and curtains, plus those clunky keys. All the Anne of Green Gables sights I wanted to see were close by, and we never had to drive more than 20 minutes to get anywhere. We had a great stay and I hope to come back.

I was here for a literary festival this past weekend, and the cottage was spacious and spotless. Breakfast was delicious, and the location was great. What really got me was how thoughtful they were on my last evening. I'd had a few appetizers for dinner, and everything nearby was closed for the night or season. When I got back to my cottage, there was a little box of cookies. I messaged to thank them and explain how perfect the timing was, and they sent over a snack box with fruit, juice, cheese, and more. Such a sweet gesture. I'd go back in a heartbeat!
