Silverwood Motel

We had trouble figuring out the finicky door, but the lovely receptionist showed us how to unlock it. The room was clean and comfortable, and it even had a Roku tv, though we never used it. My friend and I booked this motel almost at the last minute and were really glad we did. I’d recommend it to other young women looking for a safe, clean, comfortable place to stay.

The pool was great, and the little playground gave the kids a nice place to play while we relaxed. The motel looked just like the website pictures. We were a family of six, and the location worked perfectly for us, right in the heart of Cavendish and fairly close to Charlottetown. There’s also a small grocery store just across the street during the season, which made it easy to pick up breakfast food. We’d stay here again.

The rooms were clean, but they’re old, and all four rooms badly need new mattresses. The pillows were hard too. The people were friendly and easy to deal with, and the location was great, close to all the amenities. For $850 for four rooms for one night, it felt overpriced for the quality. Still, it was an okay last-minute place to get some sleep.

The extra charge for our dogs was a surprise. We’d mentioned them when booking, but only after the booking was complete did they tell us it would be $40 per dog, per night. With two dogs for two nights, taxes brought that to almost $190 beyond our trip budget. It would’ve been better to know the fee beforehand. The room was relatively clean, though some towels were stained. It’s close to the national park and several restaurants.
