We'd decided at the last minute to eat at the Twisted Lemon in Cayuga, and luckily they could fit us in without a reservation. The cozy dining room has an open kitchen, and Marcus brought great energy to the evening. His recommendations were spot on, from the unique cocktails my wife enjoyed to dessert. I don't drink, but she also liked the specialty drink she tried later. We started with brie in an almond crust, honeycomb from local sources, peach, tangerine, and a few other things I can't quite remember. For the main, I believe we had the evening special: bone-in veal chop with sliced squash, seared scallops cooked just right, and other garnishes. All the flavors popping together made us want to take small bites and enjoy every bit. Chef Dan Megna prepared it and came out to greet us. We told him how much we liked the place, and he shared that it used to be his living room, right where he proposed to his wife. For dessert, we shared a layered cheesecake and carrot cake topped with whipped cream, shredded candied carrots, and strawberries. Marcus was probably one of the best waiters we've had, and the staff and food were so wonderful that I felt moved to write my first restaurant review in 50 years. I don't know any of the staff or owners, this is an honest, independent review. We didn't stay overnight or see the available rooms, but if the rest of the place is any indication, I'm confident they're well done.

We had a lovely, unique evening at the Twisted Lemon with friends last Friday. The atmosphere was lovely, with music quiet enough that we could talk comfortably. The meals were delicious and nicely presented, and the service was warm and exceptional. Marcus was especially helpful, explaining the restaurant and how the food is prepared. More than 60% of it comes from local sources or their own garden. We'll be back!

We had such an incredible time at the Twisted Lemon, and we're already looking forward to going back. My family gave us this date night, and we're so glad they introduced us to the place. The food was next-level delicious, though we were too full to try more. The room we stayed in was spacious, inviting, very clean, and well cared for. My spouse and I kept wondering where they found all the beautiful decor. We also loved the calm, welcoming restaurant atmosphere and all the interesting details around the space. The bartender, servers, and other staff were kind and easy to talk to. They made the evening even more enjoyable by sharing information about the food and drinks, how they're made, and chatting with us. Thanks to everyone at Twisted Lemon!

The food was wonderful, and you could tell the whole team cared about their work. Laurie and our server Marcus went above and beyond when we went to celebrate our two-year anniversary, and Chef Dan did an amazing job in the kitchen. It was honestly one of the best restaurant experiences I've had. I can't thank them enough for making my night so memorable.

Dessert knocked it out of the park, and our choices were beautifully plated, with inventive but balanced flavors. This was my second visit, for my birthday, and owner and Chef Dan served us. He was friendly and welcoming, and shared some of the restaurant's history that we hadn't known. Already looking forward to coming back!
