Maple Grove Cottages

Cabine 6 had everything our family of five or more needed. It's a short drive, about 8 minutes, from the nearest town, where there are supermarkets, shops, and a few restaurants. The place was beautiful, quiet, well organized, and well maintained right on the shore of Big Lake. Rodney the owner was so friendly and helpful, and made our short stay on Manitoulin Island pleasant and memorable.

The owners were nice, and the cabin was clean. It's a beautiful spot by the lake, very family-friendly, and seems like a good summer place with its features: a screened terrace, fireplace, and Barbecue. The kitchen is basic, but it's handy to be able to cook your own food. Just don't expect a luxury cabin. The bed was a real problem. The mattress seemed broken, and the bed was small for two adults, so we struggled to sleep well. The shower area was tiny too. There were a few other things that could be improved: the cottages are close together, the curtains on the windows don't cover the sides, and the kitchen window has no curtains, so you don't get complete privacy. It was OK overall.

We found the cottage very comfortable and well equipped, with good utensils and appliances. More storage in the kitchen and bedrooms would help, though there were plenty of bugs outside. The porch's gate and bug screens were a big help. The park was clean and peaceful, set in a beautiful spot by the lake, with a great playground for little ones. Cottage (#3) suited us well. The manager gave us a warm welcome and useful tips, and the location made it easy to get to anything we wanted to visit on Manatoulin Island. We'd highly recommend it.

The owner was courteous, respectful, and helpful when we ran into a bind. The grounds were well kept, and there were lots of sporting activities and rentals at very reasonable prices. We had a great first visit and have already penciled ourselves in for next year. See you then! 😊✨️🎉 There was room for everyone in this cottage. It has three bedrooms, a king, queen, and double bed, plus two single cots. With a full-size stove, fridge, and BBQ on the side deck, the kitchen was very well equipped. The spacious Great room had plenty of seating, a large flat-screen TV, and a ceiling fan to keep the air moving. Both the dining table and little round breakfast table overlook the back deck. There are two bathrooms, one 4 pc and one 3 pc, which came in handy with a full cottage. From the entrance, the place just seemed to keep going.
