We really liked hearing how the house got its name, and the place itself has a lovely yard in a great spot in town. The room was the real treat, so beautiful and private, like having a little world to ourselves. We slept like babies. Staying here was a highlight of an already incredible trip to Canada's most beautiful province. Our hosts were warm and genuine.

The beds were wonderful, and the rooms were beautiful and spotless. We found the Delft haus while traveling by motorcycle, a little off our route, and were so glad we stayed. The house is stunning and immaculately kept. Breakfast was lovely, with homemade scones and banana bread, and the coffee station made for a relaxing morning on the front porch. The hosts were welcoming and thoughtful. Thanks so much for the hospitality.

Alison and Charles made us feel welcome and clearly cared about our comfort throughout our stay. Our daughter gave us the visit for our 50th wedding anniversary, and we loved every minute. The room and breakfasts were wonderful, and even the fur babies were exceptional. They sent us off with banana bread to go. Everything we could want in a beautiful, well-maintained setting. We'd strongly recommend this B&B.

It was a beautiful, quiet, clean B&B, but it wasn't what we expected after reading the earlier reviews praising the breakfast and gracious hosts. Just three weeks later, there were no homemade scones or banana bread. Breakfast was store-bought English muffins and bagels, cold hard-boiled eggs, packets of strawberry jam that were almost dried out, and some fresh fruit like bananas and oranges. The person who took my payment didn't introduce himself, and there was very little conversation. I couldn't tell if he was the owner or filling in.

Mark, the innkeeper, was a very welcoming host to everyone. Delft Haus is in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, with a beautiful inn and grounds and large, clean rooms. It was exceptional value and I'd highly recommend staying here.
