Advance Inn

This place stinks and has bed bugs. It looks more like a shelter home than a motel. The owner pretends he's the manager here from India and will definitely mess up your day with his attitude. Stay away if you're on vacation!

For somewhere cheap and decent, this motel is a reasonable choice. It was mostly clean, and I slept really well with no issues overnight. The owner was friendly and happy to bring us an extra towel. The location isn't ideal because there are a lot of people on drugs in the area, though there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Clifton Hill is a 25-minute walk or five minutes by bus on the 104/204. The bedroom itself was nice and had two ACs, one in the window and another fan beside the microwave. The bathroom was a bit of a problem: there were flies when I arrived, soap in the tub, and the shower soaps weren't labeled, so I couldn't tell which was which.

It's a quiet, safe place, and the beds are so comfortable you won't want to get up. The rooms are spotless and up to date, with air conditioning, a fridge, and microwave. I've stayed there often and will keep coming back. The staff are friendly, polite, and very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. Enjoy your stay 😊

The room was comfortable, we had a great time, and the man on reception at night was fantastic, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We stayed at Advance Inn after a wedding. Checkout spoiled things for me. I went to return the key and collect my deposit, not realizing it would be returned automatically to my card. When I rang the doorbell, the woman who answered was extremely rude. I politely asked if she could check the room to make sure nothing was damaged, and she rolled her eyes and said “Have a good day” in a very dismissive, disrespectful tone. If not for that exchange, I'd happily have given five stars. The rest of the stay was great, but checkout service matters, and this fell short. Ps> I have proof of this interaction if the managers would like to see it
