Ambiance by the Falls Cozy Suite

Kevin and Anna were fantastic hosts, and breakfast each morning was exceptional. My wife and I were there for three days to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we walked around without moving the car once. Parking at the back is free, and the place felt safe and secure. Couldn’t have asked for more from this BNB.

From the front steps you can watch the fireworks, and River Road is a block away, with a path under the Rainbow Bridge to the first waterfall. We felt lucky to find Ambiance By The Falls. The Blue room had good light and plenty of flat surfaces for our things, and the whole place was comfortable and immaculate on a quiet residential street. Kevin, one half of the husband-wife team, seemed to anticipate what guests needed and made it all feel easy, with real warmth. Breakfast was delicious, two courses, always something warm from the oven, and never the same two days in a row. It was served with such attentive care in an elegant Victorian dining room.

Getting there was easy, with self check-in and parking behind the house. The falls are close enough to walk to, and we really liked the neat, clean accommodation. We had coffee, juice and hot chocolate in the breakfast room, and the takeaway sandwiches in place of breakfast were tasty too. We’d definitely come back.

Breakfast was simple and well done: omelets, eggs with hash browns and ham, or spinach and sausage, plus yogurt, granola, fruit and toast each morning. There’s also a coffee maker and small fridge, so we could make coffee before breakfast began at 9am. Our room came with two water bottles, enough towels for both of us, and basic shampoo, conditioner and body wash, which helped when unpacking felt like too much. Kevin keeps the house in great shape, from clean carpets and neatly arranged tables to the extras in the rooms. Self check-in let us get to bed after a long travel day, and the house felt secure without being hard to access. We could walk to everything on the north side of the falls, while staying in a quiet neighborhood with little traffic or fuss. It’s a cute place, reasonably priced and in a great spot.
