Admiral Inn Niagara Falls

Winter is when they do repairs, I understand, but I had no hot water for a shower before my meeting. The bathroom door wouldn't close all the way either. I asked for a discount and got a small amount off the bill. I wish they'd told me about the hot water problem upfront so I could've booked somewhere else. The mat by the entrance should also be twice as large for safety.

I've stayed here about 10 times because the hotel is generally reasonable for the price, but I may not return after this. Around 7 pm, I switched from a single room with Netflix on the TV to another room. That room didn't have Netflix, so at 11 the next morning I asked to move back. The front desk man, who's usually there in the morning, said the bedsheets were scraped and he couldn't give me the same room. When I asked if there was another room with Netflix, he said no. I left the room at 8 pm the night before, so I don't believe the sheets could have been scraped by then, and he also claimed no caretaker was coming in to prepare the room. It felt like he was doing it on purpose to annoy me. I didn't want to argue, so I took the room he offered, but it smelled of smoke even though I don't smoke. This has happened multiple times with this same person. The guy working nights is much more polite and customer friendly. It's a reasonable hotel getting a bad review because of one person's unprofessional, unfriendly attitude.

My friend and I booked this place so we could see the falls and visit the niagara experience, and we had a great time. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel was clean and inexpensive, the staff were lovely, and they brought us anything we asked for. The beds were fluffy and comfortable, the ac was a nice touch, and the pool was great for a dip after hours of walking. You get what you pay for, so people booking a cheap hotel shouldn't expect five stars. I'd definitely stay here again. Don't let the reviews put you off.

We arrived early and the staff kept our bags so we could go explore, then did the same after checkout. They were incredibly helpful when our third-party booking went wrong: they called to help get our money back and rebooked us that day for less than we had originally paid. The hotel is very close to the Falls, the rooms were comfy, and breakfast was pretty good too. 1000/10 for customer service. I'd highly recommend staying here.
