The chalets and condos are great and fully equipped, with a washer, cutlery, and even plates. It’s a great spot for snowmobiles, with the main trail right out front and beautiful Lac saint jean behind.

The facilities were spotless and well cared for, and the staff were super friendly. We stayed at the resort for two nights and loved it. The view of Lac St-Jean is fantastic, and it’s a beautiful place to unwind while visiting the area. Merci pour le bel accueil!

Our family booked four condos well in advance, and the staff were kind and tried to place us as close together as they could. Once on site, the layout was good, with lots of parking, greenery, clear signs, and even a place to plug in an electric car. Finding it took a bit of care: after passing the campground, keep going along the path until you see the large sign with the Rabbit logo and the “Welcome” panel. Our loft condo for two was more basic than I expected for the price. The bathroom was nice, and there were plenty of blankets and pillows, but the bed was a double instead of the queen we expected. Furnishings were just adequate. The kitchen had only the basics: a microwave, fridge, small portable oven, hot plate, and one coffee maker. Other family members had dishwashers, washing machines, and more appliances. We didn’t stay long, ate with them, and used only a few dishes so we’d have enough room. I’m used to hotels and even cheaper motels leaving a small welcome kit with things like tea, cream, chocolates, or coffee. Here there was just one coffee packet. We knew the pandemic made organizing things difficult, so I can’t put all the blame on the place. Still, the relaxing side of the stay was a letdown. We were supposed to hear about spa and massage options, but no one contacted us. When we called a week before, they still had no information. On arrival, we were told we needed to hurry because everything was already full. Of eight adults, only one massage slot could be found. They said they’d call to confirm but didn’t; we checked in that morning and got confirmation, only for it to be cancelled an hour beforehand because they’d booked 90-minute massages back to back incorrectly. At a place called Chalet & Spa, that was a big part of why we’d booked and accepted the price, so we were very disappointed. The woman did kindly offer us a longer spa slot, but access to the spa was free anyway, so two hours or four didn’t make much difference. About 65% of the facilities were closed. There were a cold bath and a hot bath, both with no pressure, music, or atmosphere. We left after half an hour because we were bored and couldn’t do the thermal circuit with everything else closed. Those limits were due to COVID, but I would have expected a discount since the experience was so reduced compared with what was promised. The stay was decent, but the price felt high for the overall quality of service.

We had a fun, relaxed evening with friends over fondue, chicken, beef, and vegetables, plus very good breads and salads. The rooms were great too. It’s a lovely place, spread across several buildings on Lac saint-jean.

We’d read good reviews, but ended up very disappointed. The room photos gave us the wrong impression: we were four people, my wife, my mom, my aunt, and me, and the two beds were practically stacked on top of each other with no space to move. The water also wasn’t right outside as the pictures suggest, it was 100-200 meters away. At check-in, the receptionist said, “your room is in block 8, room 3.” When my wife asked what block 8 meant, she looked at her like it was a ridiculous question and repeated the same words, instead of explaining that it was in the next building. In the room there was no soap, barely enough toilet paper for one use, and no coffee machine as promised. The next morning they said ours was broken, then wanted to charge us when we asked for coffee. We tried to eat breakfast on the balcony at 8 AM, but a huge lawn mower tractor was working right below us and we couldn’t hear each other. It woke people in the neighboring room too. We were on vacation, and that felt inconsiderate. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, bring your own food, they couldn’t accommodate us. Avoid.
