Becca made us feel right at home, with breakfast goodies and a well equipped kitchen for anyone who wants to cook. The guesthouse was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. It’s directly across from the ferry, so you can hear the noise from it, but otherwise it was great. We stayed one night before taking the ferry to North Sydney and would definitely come back.

The owner is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and made us feel right at home. Breakfast had plenty to choose from and some great local coffee. The place was clean, comfortable, and just minutes from the ferry, which you can even see from the window. I don’t often stay in Port Aux Basques, but next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely come back. Recommend it for anyone passing through!

A great patio with an amazing view, perfect for having tea in the morning. The view alone is worth the stay, and the service was so friendly I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It’s so close to the ferry that you can get out of bed and be on the boat three minutes later. Looking forward to coming back.

Just a heads-up, other guests sometimes stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning, talking loudly and telling stories. That’s nothing to do with the place itself, and I’ll never stay anywhere else. It’s very well run and looked after, better than a four or five star hotel. Book in advance, this isn’t a place for a one day or same day booking. The breakfast was well provided, and the living room and kitchen were amazing, so clean and immaculate. There’s also a nice view of fishing troller coming in, lol. Wow, wow, wow!

Such a charming guest house, with lots of space and lovely furnishings. Becca was an incredibly helpful host and went out of her way to make sure we were happy. I left an item behind, and she mailed it to me without hesitation. Loved it!
