Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Charlottetown

The storm caught me off guard and left me stuck on PEI, so I booked at Canadas Best Inn in Charlottetown. I was worn out when I arrived early, and since it was the off season, the person at the desk was able to let me check in ahead of time. The staff were really friendly, and the location worked well, close to shopping and UPEI, home of the Veterinary School. It’s also a short drive to some amazing beaches, and the island folk are great ambassadors for their province. I’d stay there again.

We had comfortable beds, a quiet stay, decent breakfast, and good parking and location. I spent a week using four rooms, and each had a little problem, like a broken bedside lamp or a toilet that rocked. The place isn’t top quality, though the price is reasonable for what you get. Staff were friendly and helpful. It worked especially well with a dog. There’s plenty of grass, and the motel-style rooms made it easy to take care of ours. Would I come back? Probably, if the rate beat the other options.

The rooms are clean and basic, and the service is friendly. It’s handy for local attractions, though the property feels dated and doesn’t offer many amenities. A straightforward stay for travelers watching their budget.

We came as a family of five and had a wonderful stay. The small kitchenette was especially handy, with a toaster, sink, coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. That’s more than I’ve seen in most kitchenettes. The room was great and had everything we needed, and the friendly staff provided an extra bed when we asked.
