Quality Inn & Suites Downtown

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the free hot breakfast was decent. The rooms were clean, and I liked having a heater in the bathroom. They also offer free pool passes to the bell aquatic center. I’d definitely recommend it and would return.

We had a great stay, and the staff were very friendly. As a “choice privileges” member, we even got cookies at check-in. Our spacious room was in a separate building from the main lobby and had two double beds, a pull-out couch, and a kitchenette, which suited our family of two adults and two teenagers perfectly. The hotel is older, so the decor is dated, but it fits the area and building. Everything was immaculately clean and well maintained, and the beds were super comfortable. We also appreciated the windows opening fully, so the air never felt stuffy or damp. Downtown was an easy walk away, while the hotel itself wasn’t in a loud area. Breakfast was good quality and ordered from a small menu rather than served buffet-style. I liked the environmental upside, with less food waste and no unnecessary disposable dishes or cutlery. Breakfast had, I think, about five choices, including oatmeal with baked or toasted bread, scrambled eggs, sausages, and bacon. The beds and chairs in our room were comfortable, and the bathroom had enough towels and other supplies for my family of three. Parking was a bit of a concern, but not a problem.

The free made-to-order breakfast was exceptional, and the customer service was, too. The building and rooms are older, but super clean. The location was perfect, within walking distance of everything in downtown charletown. We didn’t realize the pool was a 7-minute drive away, which was the only downside, but free access to the University of PEI pool was exceptional. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend staying here.
