Bonaparte Motel

It was peaceful and quiet, and the staff member, maybe the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful. Still, I won't stay here again. The room didn't seem clean: there were bugs in the ceiling light, hairs in the bed and shower, and stains on the sheets, bedding, and curtains. The door was drafty, the paint was in rough shape, and I was glad I had a sleeping bag and extra blanket in the car so I could sleep on top of the sheets. Coffee cans of sand outside each door made it seem fairly smoking-friendly. The laminate floor looked new, at least. I didn't say anything at the time, though I probably should have. For Cache Creek, I've stayed at Canada Best Value, Sandman, and Bears Claw on business, and they were much better.

We felt safe, and the room was quiet. The owner greeted us right in the parking lot and was relaxed, friendly, and fair. It's pet friendly, though probably not for giraffes or elephants. When we accidentally left our son's stuffed animal, they offered straight away to mail it back. Definitely felt like a family-run business.

Clean room, great views, and a laid-back feel under the new management. My girlfriend got sick after eating some A&W, and the owner, Sean, was very gracious about letting us take our time checking out. He had some good ideas for the place's future, too. We'll make a special trip up in summer to enjoy the pool. Cheers.

The staff went out of their way for our group of car guys on a summer road trip, even turning the gym into a poker room for us. We'll be back every summer. Just know the hot tub is gone, and the pool might be closed for good. If having a pool matters to you, call and check whether it's open again.
