The room was neat and clean, with the usual things you’d expect: a bed, washroom, desk, TV, wifi and towels. There was also a little basket of snacks, and I promptly devoured the Aero bar. I never met the proprietors or staff in person, but service was great. Earlier in the day I got a text explaining the check-in steps, my room, where the key was, and the hot tub code. The building felt more like a home than a hotel, with a shared sitting room, a fridge stocked with small things like yogurt cups, and a laundry machine. It was a great place to finish my Cabot Trail tour. Restaurants are close, though the town is small enough that most places are within walking distance. I guess that depends on what you call walking distance and how much time you have.

I was glad to find a guest lounge on the main floor, and being able to do a load of laundry at no extra cost was a huge bonus at that point in our trip. The room had wonderful coffee, snacks, toiletries, towels and robes, and it was very comfortable and quiet. The proprietors have thought of so many little things a traveler might need. The self check-in was super convenient. The Archie & Isadore is a delightful inn in Cheticamp, and I’d highly recommend it.

Cheticamp didn’t seem to have much to see or do, though maybe we missed something. The hotel itself was charming, beautifully restored and decorated, and our room was very clean and well equipped. A lovely place to rest for the night while travelling the Cabot Trail.

The outside looks modest, but inside the room was spacious, very clean and well appointed. The amenities were thoughtful, including EV chargers, and it was quiet even right in the center of town. There’s no restaurant on site, but they gave us great recommendations for B,L,D. We felt well taken care of and had a great stay. Highly recommend.

Room 8 was a lovely upstairs suite in a separate building behind the main house. It was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable night's rest. Guests can use two hot tubs, and there were plenty of towels in the room. We enjoyed the complimentary chocolate bars, thank you!
