Willowmere Bed and Breakfast

Walking along the main strip to the rib fest and back was great, and everything is within walking distance. I was a little worried I wouldn’t keep up with my husband because of nerve damage in my feet, but I managed. Jane had been lovely and very informative about the area and what was happening during our stay when I researched and arranged the birthday trip my husband planned for us. Meeting Jane and Arnie and hearing the waves as we arrived gave me such a calm, relaxed feeling. The bedroom, living room, and covered patio were extremely clean and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable too, and at night the waves sounded like “serenity.” I could go on and on. This is a hidden gem, and we’ll definitely return over and over. Jane Lawson made booking easy and paid attention to the details, and we felt welcome and at ease from the moment we arrived. The lake view was exceptional, and having free, safe, secure parking in the driveway was very convenient. Willowmere is just steps from Cobourg Beach and close to the main stores and restaurants, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. We had a wonderful stay and can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a Cobourg getaway.

The lovely patio was a relaxing place to sit outside and listen to the waves. We stayed for two nights on our first visit to Willowmere this weekend, and the quaint rooms and comfy bed made for a relaxing stay. On the first night we enjoyed being close to the beach, then had dinner in town at The El. The next day we went to Ste. Anne’s Spa and ate at Cucina Urbana. It’s a special place to stay and enjoy Cobourg, and we definitely plan to return.

The water views and location are beautiful, and one of the highlights was walking along the beach into lovely Cobourg for shopping and dinner. Jane was accommodating and suggested places to eat and things to do. Inside, though, there are so many old books and knick-knacks that there’s nowhere to put your things. There’s also a musty smell, which improved only with open windows and candles. A thorough cleaning and getting rid of some things would improve this retreat in such a lovely location.
