Holiday Inn Express & Suites

The jacuzzi tub was a treat, and breakfast was good. Our room was spacious, with a somewhat cramped bathroom but a large shower. It's in a great location and easy to find. A great place to stay in Collingwood.

I've had two happy stays here. The rooms are lovely, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the staff are friendly. The location is prime. The walls are thin, though, so you can hear quite a bit when other guests aren't quiet. I also couldn't find dairy-free options for coffee, tea, or breakfast. It's clean and comfortable, just not a boutique hotel with perfect condition and five-star amenities.

Mary Anne was on duty both nights, and her kindness and professional manner made a difficult situation easier. Some unexpected circumstances came up during our stay, and she listened, made sure we knew tea and coffee were available, and shared information about the community. We felt comfortable chatting with her. We had booked a room for guests the night before a baby shower at a Collingwood venue on March 15, 2026, after some winter weather came through, and they ended up staying a second night. We really appreciated Mary Anne's caring approach and excellent customer service. We'd highly recommend the establishment and can't thank her enough.

The location is hard to beat: right at the edge of town, with easy access to Blue Mountain and downtown. The cinema is across the street, as are a grocery store, Walmart, and Circle K for quick errands. The service was excellent throughout. My friend and I drove separately, which caused no issue. We booked by phone because of a website problem, and they got us a rate slightly better than the website price. Staff were professional from booking through breakfast and checkout. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked. A few things ran out but were replenished before I finished the rest, and there were plenty of drinks plus gluten-free options for my friend. Checkout was easy: I got the paperwork that morning before leaving the room, then just returned the keycards and said which room was checking out. We mentioned some problems, and they said they'd look into them right away. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and both it and the sink had plenty of pressure. We could hear kids upstairs in the halls, but once inside our room, we felt separate from the rest of the hotel and weren't bothered by outside noise. More outlets near the bed would be useful; unplugging the alarm clock worked fine for our one-night stay. The sink overflow was plugged, the toilet seat was loose, and a bulb flickered. We got an apology, but we didn't ask for nor receive a discount. The January parking lot could've been cleared and marked better. It felt like a free-for-all, though thankfully my truck was still there and fine in the morning. I'd stay again for the excellent service, free breakfast, and great location.
