We booked a Collingwood trip seven months ahead under my name, even though I clearly said my income was too low. The sales representative told us it would be fine and claimed booking that way would “keep them from pressuring” us. I believe that was a lie to get us there. They knew my financial situation and pushed the booking anyway. Eight days before the trip, which was meant to celebrate my milestone birthday, they abruptly cancelled. We were left scrambling for somewhere else to stay, after already arranging a house sitter and time off work. In my experience, Vitality Vacations seemed focused on getting us into a timeshare presentation rather than providing a vacation. I feel they lied and caused a lot of inconvenience without a second thought. Their conduct was appalling. Avoid the company and don’t waste your time or money.

I saw an Instagram ad offering a discount and booked a two-night, three-day trip. The confirmation email told me to call and verify my dates, but that wasn’t what the call turned into. Jennifer asked very personal questions, including my annual income and status. I don’t see why that was needed for a two-night stay. In the end, she said I wasn’t eligible and that I’d get a refund. What a strange experience. This place feels like a scam.

I want to sell, and I’d accept half of what it’s worth just to escape this nightmare. These timeshares seem meant for rich people, but the sales tactics prey on the middle class. The property itself is very good, but ownership isn’t for everyone, especially young families. Think carefully and do your research before committing. Maintenance fees start right away and keep rising every year, and we’re paying a lot. Maybe it works for some people, but we’re trying to sell or get them to take it back, and they won’t.
