New Age Motel Inn

I booked after Google Maps showed $89 a night, and that was the rate I confirmed by phone. When I arrived, the owner raised it to $98. The room was unclean and smelled like old cigarette smoke, and there was hair from the previous occupants all over the bathroom. I try to support local businesses when it feels right, but for just $10 more you can stay at the brand new Tru by Hilton.

The breakfast room was exceptionally clean, with great attention to detail, and the continental breakfast offered plenty of choices in generous portions. Nothing fancy about this motel, but our room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and I believe it’s family run. I’d definitely stay here again.

The only letdown was finding out breakfast stops in the fall. I understand there are fewer tourists then, but the online information should be updated. The rooms were clean and well kept, the beds were comfortable, and the young woman at check-in was pleasant.

I’ve stayed here for two summers in a row and would come back again. I have status with a major hotel chain, but I’d still totally recommend this place. The staff take pride in their work, and everything was very clean. My room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it had a mini fridge and microwave.
