Banff Gate Mountain Resort

We spent a few nights here with friends and had a great time. The cabin and lodge were roomy, the beds were really comfortable, and toiletries were provided. We cooked in the well equipped kitchen and used the outdoor BBQ, too. In the evenings, the fire made everything feel warm and cozy. We enjoyed sitting on the cabin’s back balcony, and on our last evening we spotted two bears moving through the trees. Deer were wandering around the property as well. The views are beautiful, and it’s easy to get to hiking trails. We didn’t get around to trying the pool or clubhouse this time, but we’d happily come back.

The pool and game room close at the same time, so plan accordingly if you want to use both. We had fun in the game room, and there was something for kids and adults. The pool is a real bonus, with towels available at the entrance. Bring your swimwear and flip-flops. There’s also a sauna, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and a gym. We loved waking up to the mountain view and seeing wildlife right on the property while walking around. The cabin is listed for up to six, though four people felt like a great fit for us. The kitchen has all the utensils you need to cook, so just bring your food and ingredients. Each patio has a BBQ, and we grilled and ate outside. We only stayed a couple of nights with family, but it was exactly the relaxing break we wanted. We’d love to return one day. Canmore is about a 10-15 minute drive away.

We had a great two-night family stay, and the staff made check-in quick and friendly. The cabin was clean, in a good spot, and had a lovely view. If you’re after a fancy cabin, this probably isn’t the place for you. But for a chance to properly relax, I’d say it’s one of the best. Thanks to everyone, we’ll be back soon.

The spa was the highlight for us, peaceful, modern, and kept in great condition. It was such a good place to unwind during the trip. The accommodation felt comfortable and homey, with clean, cozy rooms and everything we needed. And the setting was stunning, with beautiful nature and views all around. Waking up to that scenery is something I won’t forget. We’d love to come back, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay and a chance to relax.
