Ellis House B&B, Niagara Falls

The breakfast had tasty options like pastries and fresh fruit, and our room was clean with a comfortable bed. The B&B is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of the falls and Clifton Hill’s tourist area. It’s affordable and not overpriced. Our hostess was friendly and helpful, and I’d be glad to stay here again when I return to explore more of Canada. Thanks for a lovely experience. Until next time.

The host was welcoming and made a delicious hot breakfast alongside the usual “Free breakfast buffet” line-up. The property is lovely to sit at with morning coffee, and the rooms were clean. It’s around a 30-minute walk to the tourist drag, depending on your fitness, but driving or getting your steps in makes it a nice change from the noisy, busy tourist spots. I was very happy with my stay.

The rooms are clean and cute, and the location is in a nice locals’ neighborhood rather than right by the falls and main tourist area. Just know the breakfast schedule may mean an early start. We arrived around 8:30 pm and the note left for us assigned an 8 am slot, with times set in 15-minute intervals. There was only one other room, two people, at breakfast at 8:30 the next morning. When I asked about coming later the following day, they said 8:45 could work. I guess they want everyone up and out early.

Our host, Vindhya, was the kindest and most welcoming host we’ve ever met, and she made the stay a pleasure. Her French toast breakfast was the best! The rooms were quiet and clean, with all the comforts of home. Ellis House is a short walk from the Niagara Falls attractions, and the location is beautiful. I can’t praise it enough. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we’ll be back.
