6267 Persepolis Inn

In February 2026, my boyfriend and I stayed three days at this motel. We paid $65 a night plus a $100 deposit, but the $65 with tax came to $73, not $80. When we checked out, the manager wouldn't answer the door, phone, or doorbell, and we were owed $41 back. The room had no heat seven hours into our stay, the weather stripping was off the door, and the bed felt like a block of cement. We didn't get our money back, and we're not returning or recommending the place.

I checked out at 9:43am on sunday aug 17th, and the woman at the front desk said my $100 deposit would be refunded within two hours. When I called at 2:30 pm that day, I was told it was being processed. By wednesday aug 20th, it still hadn't arrived. I called again and was told they didn't know what happened, there was apparently no solution, and they'd call me back. I'm still waiting, four days later. Hotels usually just put a hold on the amount and return it, but this place seems to be taking advantage of people. I live outside Niagara, which is why I needed a hotel, and I worry about tourists from other countries trying to get a callback after they've gone home. One woman at checkout was also complaining that she'd seen a rat in her room. They're liars and won't take responsibility for what happened. I know hotels commonly charge a deposit, and that wasn't the issue. They just didn't mention the $100 deposit when booking. The problem was not getting it back at checkout, as it should have been.

The staff were friendly and the location was okay, but the room was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The bathroom was tiny and the bed was hard as a rock. It wasn't worth the price, and we wouldn't return.

Persepolis Inn is under new ownership and renovations are still underway. We spent one night in an unrenovated family room with two separate bedrooms and queen beds (1+2). The bedsheets and rooms were clean, and there were no bed bugs or roaches, which would have made me leave immediately. The air conditioning was ice cold; soap, shampoo, and fresh towels were provided. There was also an old fridge without shelves, a table and chairs, a TV, a small portable heater, and just one coat hanger. We didn't need the fridge, heater, or hanger. The bathtub looked very old, so we didn't use it, but the toilet was new. Coffee and cookies are available in the morning. It's not much, but a nice start. The staff were great and knew a lot about local events. They told us there'd be fireworks at the falls that night, which we hadn't known about. I'd come back if the place is renovated.
