We spent five nights there and had to ask for fresh towels. The bed linens were never changed. On arrival, there was a faint sewer gas smell in the room, possibly because the vent pipe for the bathroom sink and toilet was blocked. The room itself was clean and freshly painted, with a spacious layout and two queen beds. The mattresses were firm, just how my son and I like them, and the heater worked well.

The rooms felt sketchy, and the sheets, towels, and shower curtains were yellow. After we'd paid for the room online, they told us we also had to pay a damage deposit, though no deposit had been mentioned online. I wouldn't stay here again.

We were here last weekend for a snowmobile trip, and the rooms were very nice for what they cost. The owner went above and beyond on customer service. I'd recommend staying here without hesitation.

The rooms on our last visit were disgusting, with a mildew smell and stains on the bedding. We didn't complain then because the owners had been friendly and very accommodating. After what happened this time, though, they won't get my business again. I've stayed at this motel many times and tried to book for the August long weekend with our dog, who had stayed there with us several times before. We hadn't had an issue until they suddenly added a $20 nightly pet fee. They wouldn't accept that I'd never been told about it and accused me of sneaking the dog in, even though we've always paid the $200 cash pet deposit. Then they said they wouldn't let us stay anyway because our husky's hair created too much work for them. She's always followed their rule about staying off the beds, but we can't keep her hair off our clothes and things.
