Heartwood Inn

We stayed in the quiet, relaxing upper east room, a lovely little suite. Service was top notch from check-in right through checkout. When we returned from dinner, there was a candlelit room with roses, fresh fruit, chocolates, and cheese on a little platter. We even got a small gift bag when we checked out. Definitely a 10 out of 10, and we’ll be back. You won’t get this kind of service at the big chains!

The deer in the backyard were a lovely extra, and breakfast was a treat. The French toast was delicious and cheap, and there was a great tea selection. We came for two nights with my family for a wedding and had the best hotel stay of my life. The owner, I think, was super friendly and helpful at check-in. We were in the front suite, which was very clean and had an antique feel. The updated bathroom was unbelievably clean too. Usually hotel showers feel kind of icky, but it was a refreshing change to step into a tub that clean. My extended family stayed at the “brand name” hotels in town and were disappointed. We’ll definitely stay here next time we visit.

The room was warm and comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The fireplace was especially nice on such a bitterly cold day. My wife and I were in Drumheller for my birthday and decided to try a locally owned place instead of a big chain. We were warmly greeted and shown to our room. The person helping us set up the pad on the door so we could come and go easily, despite the cold, and even apologized as if he controlled the weather. This would be my first choice if I stay in Drumheller again.

The inn is beautiful and the service was amazing. We really needed the jacuzzi, but couldn’t use it. Staff tried everything to help, though when we finally got the water fully hot, the jacuzzi wasn’t clean. They gave us a full refund because of that. If you don’t depend on a jacuzzi for comfort, I highly recommend staying here.
