The women working there were very nice, but the manager or owner was a jerk. We paid $111 for a room with dirty sheets, pillows, and bedspreads, and it smelled like wet dog. When I told the manager, he got mad, tried to charge a $20 cleaning fee, and wanted to check us out. I objected because we hadn't checked into the room, it was dirty. He threatened not to refund us. I said I'd contact the Better Business Bureau and chamber of commerce. He said we wouldn't be allowed back, and I assured him we wouldn't return. I wouldn't recommend this place. We found a nice hotel down the street for $35 less, with clean sheets.

The food is good, and the staff are quick and very friendly. But every time I've ordered the all-you-can-eat pancakes, one pancake in the batch has been badly burned. I've sent it back for another, only to get one just as burned. It's taken three tries to get one that wasn't burned, and this happened on all four of my visits, with every new batch they brought.

The owners are more than friendly, and the price is right. This is an unpretentious old motel, not a fancy place, but it's clean and has the basics: a TV, coffee maker, mini-fridge, shampoo, and conditioner. The free Wi-Fi has a strong signal and works well. The comparatively new owners got it three years ago and are renovating it. I'd stay here again.

I'm utterly disgusted, and so are my guys. Two of our employees stayed here last night, but around midnight they found their room infested with bedbugs and had to leave. It wasn't one or two, it was a full-blown infestation. With all the other motels booked, they ended up sleeping in their truck in the Walmart parking lot. When I called the manager this morning, he said staff do a 'daily' inspection and didn't seem terribly concerned. He explained that a working crew had stayed there last week and that this was where it started. That doesn't explain finding numerous bugs. If the room really was inspected daily, they should have found them, even if there was just one, and treated the room properly. To be fair, I have the impression the infestation was limited to perhaps this one room. My whole crew of four guys had stayed there in the last few weeks without so much as a spider in the sink. I have no complaint about the establishment beyond this very specific episode.

The restaurant was great, the food awesome, and the wait staff friendly and kind. The rooms, though, are tiny, like a small closet, with TVs from the late 80s and washrooms you can barely fit into. The showers swing from BLAZING HOT to FREEZING COLD about five times a minute, and maids knocked even with the do not disturb sign on the door.
