The restaurant was a highlight, with good food and service, though the dinner music choice was questionable, lol. Our room was clean and seemed recently renovated, and staff were friendly. The curtains were so see-through, though, that we hung a bed comforter up to feel fully private. For the room, we got what we paid for. I'd recommend this motel for a short stay.

The personal welcome from Slavic made a big impression on us. We arrived quite late while driving back from Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park, after finding other motels full or not appealing. Although the restaurant had closed by the time we booked two rooms and asked about dinner, Slavic quickly had the kitchen make takeaway meals for us. He even came out of the office the next morning to say goodbye as we left. Breakfast at the restaurant was a treat, and our server was very friendly. The rooms were cozy and clean, too. Slavic later mentioned the business had recently been acquired and they planned to rename the restaurant "The Wave." Very highly recommended.

The cabin had plenty of space and a fantastic view of the Bay of Fundy, and having a BBQ was a plus. We chose this quaint spot because it was close to Hopewell Rocks, but it didn't turn out to be as quaint as we'd expected. The washroom and office closed at 1600 hrs, and our toilet barely flushed because the pipe seemed blocked. It took several flushes to clear waste. A walk around the property showed what may have been the cause: the septic tank in the southwest corner was full, with liquid leaking over the top and running down the ravine beside the Bay of Fundy. The stains on the tank suggest this had been happening for a while. Not cool.

The restaurant was great, and both the food and service were excellent. The people running the place are lovely, and it's clear they're working hard to improve it. The motel itself is very basic and dated, with no AC, so sleeping was difficult. I had to keep the window open, and traffic noise was pretty bad. Hope Well Rocks is only a short drive away. Accommodations are a matter of taste, and this one wasn't for me. I appreciated the staff, but cut our stay short and moved on. Wishing the owners all the best.

We found out from a family that the Hopewell rocks tourist attraction is down the street, so we'll come back this way on our trip home to check it out. We stopped here for a break while driving to Nova Scotia and asked in the restaurant if any rooms were free. The guy said there was one and lowered the price from $164 to $145. There were plenty of empty rooms around ours, visible through the windows. Our room was a decent size and mostly clean, but the bed wasn't very comfortable, and they supplied just one large bath towel and one roll of toilet paper. The area was a bit noisier than some places I've stayed, and we could hear everything from the neighbour behind us, though it didn't bother us much. On the other side of the hotel we found a few campsites and cabins, plus a great view of the water. I'd stay here again, but would book online because it was cheaper.
