The restaurant was good, with great staff and good food, and we enjoyed the old-school atmosphere in the pub, which has its regulars. The pub staff were nice too. The location is handy, across from the Costco on the yellow head, with a gas station and Subway nearby. The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. We paid 90 bucks, which felt worth it, especially in the updated new tower. But the place still needs a new smell, working phones, and AC in the rooms. Our AC didn’t work and the room got humid fast. The landline was out, and our key sometimes failed, even for housekeeping, so the door mechanism seemed close to giving out. At first the hotel looked worn down and kind of sketchy, though the person working was nice. We were in room 431 or something and took the first elevator we saw. There were only three floors, so we were confused and kept hitting floor 3, trying to go somewhere else. The elevators shut quickly and don’t stop if you’re in the way. It smelled strongly of smoke, and felt outdated and dirty. We went back to the desk, and she explained we’d taken the wrong elevator because we were in the new tower, which has separate elevators. The newer tower is updated and no smoking, but it still had a strange smell, like old or gross air freshener. There’s just one person at the front desk, so you’re mostly on your own.

I’ve been here 11 days and may stay another four. The staff have been great, especially Kim at the front desk. She has a lovely smile and always goes out of her way to greet me when I come or go. As someone who used to manage in hospitality, I appreciate clean rooms and facilities. The area around the elevators needs more attention, though. Cleaner floors and stainless steel would help guests feel safer during covid. Also, some staff don’t seem familiar with the Wyndham App. Nobody asked for my rewards card, so I only realized a day ago that I could have been earning rewards. Staff should be trained on the app and offer it to customers. Thanks!

The staff weren’t accommodating at all, especially when I needed towels for my kids. The front desk employee said housekeeping had left and she had nothing to give us, and her manner came across as rude. We were there for two nights, and our room wasn’t serviced or the garbage collected. I was told we needed to notify them, which I understand, but I wish they’d mentioned that at check-in. At another hotel on the same trip, we didn’t ask, yet they still made the beds and took out the garbage. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, particularly with children.

We travel a lot for our business, and this was easily the worst hotel we’ve stayed at. The shower was the biggest problem: it took at least ten minutes to get warm and barely had any pressure. On our last morning, I ran it for 15 minutes and the water was still cold. You had to pull a lever underneath the faucet to start it, but the faucet wasn’t secured to the wall and just spun when we tried. The sink sprayed water everywhere, and neither the phone nor the TV worked. We felt ripped off and couldn’t see what we were paying for. We’ll never stay here again, and we’ll discourage others from booking it.
