The unit was spectacularly clean, with five-star amenities. There was everything we needed for cooking and cleanup, including containers for packing leftovers, plus some tea, coffee, and a range of small appliances. It was beautiful, but after three nights without hot water and getting trapped in the hallway by a faulty door, I never want to return. We stayed in villa 2010 suite A from Feb 28 to March 3 2026. The owners or managers were told the previous Wednesday that the boilers were having a problem and a part wouldn’t arrive until the following week, but we weren’t given the choice to come or not. We only learned about it the morning after arrival. We were told to run the hot water for 10 minutes and see what happened. The boilers were apparently meant to run for an hour or two twice a day, but not one drop from the tap was even remotely warm during our entire stay. I would have loved to use the beautiful bathtub, but it would have been more like a cold plunge. Booking.com offered a $70 voucher for next time, which is better than nothing, I suppose. Nobody connected to the building offered a solution. I’d hate to see what would happen if the furnace went down. As we were leaving, my husband went to the truck and a gust of wind shut the outside door to the two suites. It latched and jammed, leaving me stuck in the little hallway. The knob was locked from outside, so he couldn’t turn it, and I couldn’t open it because it seemed to be installed backwards. I was trying not to panic and didn’t take a photo. Thankfully, the man from 2010 B came out and used a knife to get it open. The door is now broken so nobody else can get stuck in it. Even with the beautiful, clean unit and excellent included amenities, those problems ruined the stay.
