Cabot House 26 Monkstown

We spent the last night of our honeymoon here and wished we'd booked the whole trip at this place. It was such a cool hotel, a large old character home decorated with crystal chandeliers and vintage suitcases and chairs. There's no elevator, so be ready for stairs unless you stay on the ground floor. Check-in was simple: no front desk, just our keys in an envelope, and we checked ourselves in. Checkout worked the same way, we left the key in the door and it was taken care of. We loved the spot and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to NL.

Amir was so helpful when we called after forgetting the entry code, thank you! Our room was grand, beautiful and very clean, with lots of useful things like tea, coffee, a boxed breakfast, fruit and milk. This is a lovely little find in St. John’s. It feels so much nicer than a mainstream hotel, and we'd definitely recommend it and stay again.

We found this charming guest house in a historic part of central St John’s to be very good value. The rooms were comfortable, clean and nicely equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd happily come back and recommend it to friends.

We spent our last 4 nights in Newfoundland here. The room was beautiful and well appointed, Amir was friendly and helpful, and there was a good selection in the breakfast box. Having a shared fridge available was handy, and I loved the claw foot tub. Downtown was an easy 20 minute walk away. My one small complaint is that the shower pressure was low.
