The host clearly cares about The Manor. The cozy room was clean and well equipped, and the lovely living room had snacks, fruit, plus a fridge stocked with yogurt and drinks. There’s no front desk, but messaging was easy, replies came right away, and the host was always helpful and personal. I found books and articles about the house and people connected to it over the decades on the patio. Those little details were cute and appreciated. The location is great, a few steps from Battery cafe, right by a park, and not far from downtown. Truly nothing to complain about. Thanks!

We stayed in the Cape Spear room and really liked it. Rendell Shea Manor is also ideally placed, with downtown St. John’s and The Rooms museum both an easy walk away.

We had everything we needed, and the whole house was clean and shiny. The room was nice, right in the heart of St John’s, with downtown within walking distance. We were on the ground floor near the entrance and dining room, though, so it could get noisy at times.

I love staying in historic places in central locations, and the Rendell Shae was just what we hoped for on our recent trip to St. John's. There’s history throughout the manor, and the rooms are beautifully furnished. They also put out breakfast pastries and fruit, with a range of coffee and tea you can help yourself to. We enjoyed it so much that I’d return in a heartbeat.

The rooms are spacious, nicely equipped, and quite soundproofed, and the house is just a short walk from everything we wanted to see in St. John's, on a quiet street. It’s a beautifully restored manor, and the owner made self check-in easy by sending helpful details about the house. Breakfast pastries and coffee were delicious. What a find!
