Star of The Sea Bed and Breakfast

The breakfasts delivered to our room were homemade and delicious, and bathrobes and pool towels were provided. Our spacious suite had a large, comfortable bed, sitting areas, and a breakfast bar. With only three suites, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. There are two decks with outdoor furniture, where we could feel the ocean breeze and watch sailboats and cruise ships pass by each day. The ocean views and peaceful atmosphere were wonderful from the moment we arrived. Eva and Tom were gracious hosts and helpful with ideas for things to see, including Wine country, the Bay of Fundy, and Halifax. The thoughtful decor and comfort details made this a lovely stay. We visit boutique B&Bs often, and Star of the Sea B&B is a hidden gem. It was a beautiful, relaxing retreat, easily 10 Stars for us. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Before our trip on 9/21/2025, I called to ask the owners a few questions about what to expect. Eva seemed frustrated as I asked about the establishment and told me to look at the website. I explained that my questions were based on the site and reviews, but the conversation still didn't go well. I'm glad I called before we had a bad experience.

We loved slowing down on the gorgeous ocean-facing balcony with a book, and having a delicious meal in our beautiful room while watching birds fly around. My mom and I stayed three nights at Star of the Sea and had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The McNab Room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, and Eva and Tom were kind, fantastic hosts. The breakfasts were delicious, too. We're already dreaming about returning. Thank you, and we can't wait to come back!

We picked Star of the Sea B&B for its quiet setting away from the city's noise, even though downtown Halifax is about a 20-minute drive. My husband and I spent three nights in the "Northwest Arm" suite, with gorgeous ocean views from the little reading nook and the most comfortable king bed ever. The guest spaces include an upper patio and a heated pool. We tried as many breakfasts as we could, yogurt parfait, German breakfast, waffles, and over easy eggs with bacon, and every one was delicious. Eva and Tom have put a lot of work into the business and are amazing hosts. The place is beautifully designed and cozy, a dreamer's retreat. We hope to return someday.
