At Powder Mountain Lodge in Fernie BC, my room was basic but did the job. It was wonderfully quiet, and I slept well. The bed was cozy, though firm enough to remind me I’m not a pancake. The bathroom was fine, the hot water was very hot after skiing, and the rest was good too. My one disappointment was that the hot tub was out of order. I’d hoped to ease my ski aches with a soak and something bubbly, but had to make do with a warm shower. The lodge is close to restaurants and other amenities, so it’s easy to head out for food once you leave your cozy igloo.

The room was spotless, with crisp fresh sheets and a fully equipped kitchen that was a lifesaver with three kids. We felt at home thanks to the staff and their friendly resident dog, Penny. The owner also chatted with us, showed us around town, and pointed us to a scenic hiking trail ending at a beautiful waterfall. We’d only planned to stay one night during our summer road trip home along the west coast, but we enjoyed the hospitality so much that we added another night at Powder Mountain Lodge.

The owner is so kind and makes you feel at home, and his sweet dog loves greeting guests. It gives the place such a warm, friendly feel. A cozy, inviting spot to unwind after a busy day.

The pool and hot tub make it a lovely place to relax, and there’s a beautiful view around the cozy, laid-back lodge. The owner is incredibly sweet and friendly, and you can tell he cares about everyone who comes through the door. Such a hidden gem in Fernie if you’re after a welcoming atmosphere and great hospitality. Highly recommend! 😍

The vibe is uplifting and positive, and the place feels clean, cozy, and homey. It’s centrally located, the staff are friendly and professional, and the owner and managers are very kind. Great value if that’s what you’re looking for. Some people can’t help bringing negativity wherever they go, so ignore fake impersonating reviews. Stay positive, enjoy Fernie and those beautiful mountains!
