The location is handy, between Fernie mtn and town and within walking distance, and the parkade is spacious. The apartment itself is roomy but dark. I appreciated the Fernie Roasting Co. coffee beans and local soap, too. There were a lot of neglected problems: the pull-out bed had no sheets and there were no spare sheets or blankets, the garage opener batteries were dead, the toaster didn’t work, the bathroom tap leaked, and a closet door had been taken off and left in another furnace closet. It was hard to reach anyone and responses took a long time. I couldn’t tell whether each unit is individually owned or whether a corporation rents them through disconnected apps. With proper upkeep and management this could be a really good place. You should speak with Kristina Fox for guidance on hospitality. As it is, expect general disrepair and be ready to make do if you just need a space.

I was confused to see a 500 deposit charged on both Booking and the hotel’s own website, and there was no hotel staff around to help with the troublesome check-in. Booking’s extra cleaning fee was tucked into tiny print at the bottom. I only learned about the additional 100 charge on the final bill, which really upset me.

The hot tub was out of service, and the place is too close to the highway. The A/C is really loud, omg. The place is otherwise though.

We rented a unit for a few days. Beautiful spot, peaceful, and the views were great.
