Charlie was warm and welcoming the whole time. When we asked, he even set up the backyard fireplace and brought plenty of firewood. The basement suite was spotless and well kept, with a large room, lots of storage, a comfortable bed, a big TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with an electric cooktop. The recently renovated bathroom had a walk-in shower and laundry. The photos here don’t really do the guesthouse justice. Bring groceries if you want to cook, or go to Truffle Pigs in Field for dinner. And give Pancho, Charlie’s feline gentleman, some love for us. We’re very glad we stayed and will definitely be back.

Between hikes, having a proper apartment to ourselves was ideal. It’s comfortably spacious for a couple, tastefully decorated, and everything was in perfect condition. Our host was always available if we needed anything. I highly recommend staying here.

Field makes a great base for Yoho National Park and places like Lake Louise and Lake Morraine. Charlie was a warm, welcoming host, and the whole apartment was clean with everything we needed. There’s a washer and dryer, too.
