We had what we needed for an overnight stay: a clean, spacious room and a comfortable bed. There wasn't much clothes storage and no safe, but it was a simple room that worked for us. The hotel seemed fairly new, with some nice lounge seating and a decent breakfast area. Its location is convenient, about 15 minutes from downtown Kingston, near the big stores and places like Costco and Canadian Tire. A good way to save compared with staying downtown.

We were there for three nights, and the problems started at check-in. The front desk man, whose name I didn't get, snapped at me when I asked about checking in early at around 3 pm. He needs customer service training. I have Diamond Select status and over 100K points, so we could have stayed for free at the Best Western. Luckily his shift ended, and Mr. Melo came on. He was friendly and got us checked in quickly. The bedroom AC didn't hold the temperature on auto. Mr. Melo came up but couldn't fix it, and maintenance never showed up. Housekeeping was sloppy and left some bathroom and coffee and tea supplies unreplenished. The breakfast room attendant was unfriendly, never made eye contact, and wore flip flops, which I believe goes against health and safety regulations. Breakfast itself was just okay. At checkout, the woman at the desk, Solom, was unfriendly and didn't thank us or ask how the stay had been. There are plenty of hotels to choose from, and the front desk should be glad to welcome guests. Instead, the staff came across as complacent and lackadaisical.

We stayed one night while driving to New Brunswick. The room and bed were clean, and the pillows were the best I've ever slept on. But we didn't feel safe leaving our truck and trailer in the lot. In the morning, a man whose truck was parked in front of ours told us someone had gotten into his locked truck and broken the lock on his enclosed trailer, stealing tools. We couldn't see that anyone had entered our truck, but it looked like someone had tried to unhook our trailer and bent our mirrors. We saw no cameras or lights nearby. We mentioned what happened at every hotel we stayed at afterward. If you have valuables you can't bring inside, I'd suggest parking somewhere well lit with cameras. Don't let the front desk send you to a back corner.

Our U11 hockey team was left scrambling for a hotel in Kingston just two nights before a tournament, and Comfort Inn and Suites took in our 16 families at the last minute. GM Linda Hicks and her patient staff even let us use the basement lounge for the weekend. A big thanks to them for handling a group of enthusiastic 10 year olds! The rooms were clean and breakfast got us ready for hockey each morning. That lounge was the best hotel space I've ever seen, with a big screen TV, comfy couches and chairs, and a private area where the kids could play mini sticks with their own nets. We're so grateful for the hospitality and for coming to our rescue. We'd 1000% stay again.

Thank you Jesus, work paid for my room when I stayed here for the first time last week. It was absolutely disgusting. There were handprints and hand drag marks on the window, and when I got down on the floor to look for an earring, you wouldn't believe what I saw. Do they even have a vacuum? I ended up throwing out someone else's garbage. I wrote “clean me” in the dust in the stairwell. I don't know what the nightly price is since work arranged the stay, but with this lack of care, it's probably too much. The location is awesome, at least.
