The bedding had what I can only hope was dirt ground into it, and there seemed to be bugs crawling around. After the first night, we were made to switch rooms, and the new one hadn't even been cleaned. There was blood splattered across the walls, plus blood and what looked like freshly squeezed pimples on the bathroom mirror. This place is a total dump. You'd be better off sleeping in an alley.

We came to Fort McMurray for a friend's birthday, and our friend had already booked the room for our group of eight. At the motel, staff said nobody could enter after 11 PM and that we all had to arrive together. Completely unreasonable and unprofessional. Worst motel experience I've ever had, not even worth one star.

My son needed somewhere to stay on the freezing night of February 25 2026. They charged him $160 a night for room 216 and asked for a $300 cash deposit. The deposit wasn't returned, and they overcharged him too. Manager, please look into this. Your staff are thieves. I'd recommend staying at another hotel.

My room card stopped working around midnight, and I couldn't get into my room. I was there for hours with no hotel staff around. There was nobody available until 7am, even though I was staying there and had several rooms booked. The place felt sketchy, with people all over, and the service was horrible.

The staff were great to deal with, and the room was clean with a decent bed. The area is a little rough, but that's something you can avoid.
