Chez Dube Country Inn

We couldn’t sleep at all, so we left at 5am and went to an Airbnb. It was our wedding night, and the stay completely ruined it. The honeymoon suite mattress was the worst I’ve ever slept on, sagging so badly that my neck sank about 5-10 inches below the rest of me. The sheets and covers were cheap 100% polyester, like something from a Walmart clearance rack. They clung to us with so much static that it drove us crazy. When we complained, they denied the conditions and wouldn’t give a full refund, offering only a 25% discount. That’s lousy business practice, and we won’t return.

Kanchana made us feel like we were staying at a good friend’s house, even though we’re not usually people people, lol. The rooms were lovely, clean, and private, and the place was affordable too. We’ll choose it whenever we’re in town and would recommend it to anyone.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the location peaceful. Breakfast was good too. Kanachana, the manager, made the stay memorable with her warm hospitality and thoughtful care. Thanks for the unique service.

We barely used the common area, but it was beautiful, and the kitchen was stocked for guests with coffee, tea, water, and snacks day and night. Breakfast was delicious. Since we slept in, the manager offered to cook it the way we liked and leave it for us. She was so nice and accommodating, and this was one of my best hotel or B&B stays. We’ll definitely be back soon. It’s a hidden gem in Fort McMurray, a reasonably priced retreat without a long drive. My wife and I booked the honeymoon suite for a kid free getaway. It was huge, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed. We loved how private it felt, with its own entrance from the elevator up to the 4th floor. There was a big two person jacuzzi, a sitting room with a fireplace, couch, and TV, plus another TV and a giant king bed in the bedroom. The bathroom was separate and had a shower. The manager had champagne and wine glasses set up for us, which was a lovely touch.
