Super 8 Fort Saskatchewan

We were here for a hockey tournament. The pet-friendly room showed quite a bit of wear, which wasn’t totally unexpected, but the staff were wonderful, friendly, and quick to help sort out any issues. We’d stay again.

The pool was freezing, both the water and the air around it, so the kids and I couldn’t use it. That was the main reason we came. The hot tub was broken, too. Breakfast was good, but the room for it is tiny, with maybe three tables. Our room was spacious, though dated, and the staff were very friendly. For a pretty cheap rate, everything was about what you’d expect.

The pool and hot tub were fantastic, and the towels and sheets were the softest we’ve had. The woman at the front desk was so welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed the stay and will be back.

I don’t usually write reviews, but the kindness here made me want to. I was in town for a music conference at the Dow Centennial Centre and booked the Super 8 at the last minute after the two host hotels were full. The messages and emails before I arrived already made me feel welcome, and the staff were genuinely kind when I got there. I loved the Hallowe’en decorations, too. A special thank you to Simmy at the front desk. She had great suggestions for spending my short time in Fort Saskatchewan and getting to the airport. She even let me leave my bags in the room past checkout while I performed at the conference. We had lovely conversations, and I felt like I’d made a new friend. You don’t always get only what you pay for, sometimes it’s so much more. I’m looking forward to staying again.
