The one bright spot was the concierge, who I think was called Edwitch, though I may have the spelling wrong. He was helpful during his working hours, which only went until about 7 PM, when that area was being monitored. He checked that the boys were safe when he saw them and gave us good recommendations for activities and restaurants. Maybe he should be running the place, since he understands customer service. This was meant to be a fun first trip to Montreal for a hockey tournament, but the hotel was chosen for us and made us feel unwelcome. I understand tournament groups aren’t always easy to host, but the adults and the 16- and 17-year-olds weren’t even given a chance to show they were respectful. From day one, aggressive security followed us from outside our room doors to the elevators, lobby, and common room provided for us. Outside food and drinks weren’t allowed, and teenagers were told to throw out a can of pop. We adults were harassed and asked to check our pockets and bags. Too bad they didn’t seem as concerned about the hookers and escorts in the elevators. The hotel is in a poor area, and reception is on the second floor while the entrance doors are at street level. A few times, sketchy people were inside the elevator area. Two even got in the elevator with me. Thankfully, two men hopped in at the last minute, because it felt extremely uncomfortable. This area seemed monitored only during the day. Security might be better used watching it instead of following respectful adults around. There’s also a door from that area to the expensive underground parking, so anyone can walk in and get to the cars.

We found this hotel at the last minute after a disappointing experience at the place we’d originally planned to stay, and it turned out to be a blessing. From arrival, we felt welcomed and looked after. The lobby is beautiful, and our room was cozy and comfortable, like a home away from home. They even texted during our stay to check that everything was going well, which made it feel like they genuinely care about their guests. The location is great for walking to Old Montréal, the underground mall, and plenty of other spots. I’ll absolutely stay here again next time I’m in Montreal. Highly recommend!

I was there with my son for an extended weekend for the Canadian Grand Prix, and we had a very enjoyable stay. Lauralie and Sasha at the front desk were especially helpful in accommodating our requests. The hotel is very clean and well located in the city, with a pretty lobby featuring a water effect and fish. Its on-site restaurant is nice, though the selection is limited.

We arrived just two hours ago, and my wife and I have been looking forward to this Montreal trip for about three weeks. We’re still excited to be here, but the night manager or front desk person, I assume, has been quite rude. They have blue hair, and we haven’t been here long enough to learn anyone’s name. I like the hotel, but I’m very disappointed by the rude comments we got when asking simple questions. That alone almost makes me want to get a refund and stay somewhere else.
