The employees who greeted us were very nice. The hotel is pretty average overall, though. It was renovated some years ago, but the work seems cheap and is already aging badly. Dust webs had built up around the lobby ceiling, and the ceiling still looked unfinished, with tape or something visible around the wood-plank decoration.

The room was clean, and room service was excellent, thanks to the staff. The breakfast was very cheap; I'd rather they leave it out than serve a meal like that. Please leave a bottle of water, it doesn't cost much.

The newer carpets, great shower fixtures, nice linens, and comfortable bed show a real effort to upgrade. They even turned two adjoining rooms into a gym, which I used. Still, $250 a night feels like price gouging, though it was the only option for those two nights, Oct 8,9, 2024. And at that price, you still have to buy the Keurig pod for the lobby machine. Maybe that's what annoyed me enough to write this, no coffee this morning.

We checked in late, around 2 am, and the receptionist was there and made the process easy. The rooms were cozy, clean, nice, and well equipped. Ours looked out on a parking lot. It was a short trip, but a pleasant stay overall. In the morning, breakfast was picked up to eat in the room.

For 300$+ a night, this place could do way better. We couldn't have any visitors after 11 at night, and letting my brother into my room turned into a whole ordeal. The breakfast isn't really breakfast, just a premade box of snacks, as the picture shows. It's the most expensive hotel in Sept-Iles and also the least worth it.
